Jens Jakob Bugge specializes in IP and unfair competition litigation and counselling. He advises clients in disputes involving trademarks, design, copyright, patents and passing off/unfair competition as well as trade secrets in a wide variety of industries. 

Jens Jakob represents clients in Danish courts, including (numerous times) the Supreme Court, the Court of Justice of the European Union as well as at the Danish Patents and Trade Marks Office and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (formerly OHIM), and handles the co-ordination of proceedings with parallel actions elsewhere in the world.

The range of high-profile disputes includes trademark, unfair competition, passing off, copyright, design, anti-counterfeit and parallel imports, applications for interim injunctions, preservation of evidence and search orders. Jens Jakob has also been appointed by the Danish specialty IPR court, the Maritime & Commercial High Court, as a permanent member of the court’s advisory committee and he serves on the Danish Bar Association’s standing committee on IPR matters.

He frequently lectures on IP law, serves as chair at IP conferences, and has contributed to the comprehensive Danish publication, Dansk Immaterialret, as well as several other publications.
